Hay is subjective and every rabbit has different tastes, therefore we recommend starting with a Hay Sampler to determine which hay(s) your bun prefers. All of our hays are 100% organic and dried naturally in the sun.

 Jeffrey's Joy (Second Cut Timothy Mix)
Our late bun, Jeffrey, was a very particular girl, and we believe she would have loved this hay. We named this blend after her as a tribute and hope that opinionated rabbits everywhere will enjoy her namesake. This hay is a softly fragranced, medium strand, 2nd cut Timothy with meadow grass. The organic farmers that grew it are meticulous in their methods to ensure optimum moisture content and minimal dust. This is our purest grass blend, almost completely free of dandelion and clover. We think any discerning rabbits, like Jeffrey, will take a strong liking to "Jeffrey's Joy". 

Second Cut Timothy Mix 
This is a medium strand hay with an abundance of clover. This Timothy is verdant, aromatic and holds its hydration well. Timothy is the most recommended hay for house rabbits, and this one is a staple for our quality control team at One Ear Up.

Meadow Medley
Quite soft, fragrant and sweet, Meadow Medley is a blend of second cut meadow grass, timothy grass with an occasional bit of clover. This fine strand hay is flat, soft and green with a high hydration content. This is a favorite of all of our discerning rabbits!

Jeffrey's Joy First Cut (First Cut Timothy Mix)
This is a first cutting of our hugely popular hay, Jeffrey’s Joy. This is a stalkier, more fibrous version of Jeffrey’s Joy and includes a small amount meadow grass and occasionally you’ll see a touch of dandelion and clover. If your rabbits tend to pick through softer hays to get to the crunchier, sturdier strands, this is the blend for you.

First Cut Timothy Mix
This is a stalkier, fibrous timothy that has a nice grassy aroma. The extra fiber in this hay is beneficial to your bun's teeth, GI tract, and all over well being. Even our finicky rabbits enjoy this first cut hay.

Orchard Mix
This hay is a blend of orchard grass and timothy hay, with a medium amount of clover to sweeten it up. This is a medium, flat strand with a beautiful earthy fragrance.

Legume Mix (previously Alfalfa Mix)
Our alfalfa blend has changed. Alfalfa is challenging to grow here in northern Vermont, so to maintain year-round availability, we’ve changed this blend from first cut alfalfa mix to second cut legume mix. This is our richest hay, recommended for baby and adolescent rabbits (6 months or younger,) or giant breeds up to a year. Legume hay is also recommended for rabbits that are getting older and having a hard time maintaining weight. This is a tasty 2nd cut harvest that is mixed with Timothy orchard grass, white clover, red clover and alfalfa. Nutritionally, this is nearly identical to alfalfa hay, but if your rabbit is used to alfalfa, please plan accordingly to avoid GI upset.
